DESCRIPTION:
The course provides skills that will allow attendees to understand the application and integration of basic Predictive Maintenance technologies as they relate to electrical applications.
RECOMMENDED AUDIENCE:
This course is recommended for managers, engineers, planners, and supervisors who are responsible for the daily use of information that comes from a condition monitoring program.
YOU WILL LEARN:
- Identify electrical failure modes in AC and DC motors, transformers, and switchgear
- Identify the construction methods and normal operation of electric motors
- Determine the electrical failure modes that vibration analysis can detect in AC and DC motors
- Determine the electrical failure modes that airborne and structure-borne ultrasound can detect in motors, transformers, and switchgear
- Determine the electrical failure modes that lubricant analysis can detect in transformers
- Determine the electrical failure modes that infrared thermography can detect in motors, transformers, and switchgear
- Determine the electrical failure modes that on-line and off-line motor circuit analysis can detect in motors and transformers
- Identify the common traps of each technology
- Build an electrical asset health matrix
